Today is what is called a hurricane day. There's a lot of rain, the house has these dark things on the windows, the t.v. is on all day, and I have Mommy and Daddy home all day stuck with me. I love it. I slept in till 9:45 this morning, Mommy made cinnamon buns, cleaned the house, and I got to chase her in the walker we borrowed from Grammy. This isn't such a bad thing at all.

Bedtime snacks
Serving Time
Mommy said she had to clean the house since Mocha and I had made it too dirty. She made us stay in my room, behind bars. Mommy said to play nice, but when we realized we had a gate we could try to take out we set to work. We never figured out how to make the gate come down, but I think we got close. Mocha is a good playmate, but Mommy says we make a big mess together.

E.I.T.
The age of discovery
Mason discovered sand. I'll let the pictures tell the story
Mason discovering sand and looking at Daddy to see if it was safe to play with.
Mason learning that sand stays on your hands when you touch it.
Mason not sure what to do with the sand on his hands.
Well if you can't get rid of it, eat it.
Daddy freaking out and quickly trying to stop Mason and wipe off the sand.

Back to school perks
While it is a royal bummer that Mommy has to go back to work, I did discover the perk to having Mommy be a teacher. Teacher Appreciation Breakfast. I got to eat a donut while Mommy looked around at Office Depot. Now the real question, since Mommy has to go be a teacher every day does that mean I get a donut every day?

Blinds
Mason has made a game of touching the blinds, and rather than being mean about I've decided to play along. Now mind you, he will crawl really slow most of the time, however, when Mom says to stay away, well you can see what he does for yourself.

When Daddy's in charge
In our house Daddy's the boss. He makes the rules, Mom and I just follow them. (Or at least we let him think he's the boss.) I really love my Daddy.
This is what happens when Daddy is in charge of pj's and bath time. (That's him in the back laying down on the job.)

This is what happens when Daddy is in charge of dinner.

10 Months Old

Well the summer has flown by and Mason is now 10 months old. I'm preparing birthday celebration plans and everything else. Crazy to think of all the leaps and bounds he's made in the past few weeks. From rolling to army crawling, and now on all fours. He pulls himself up and stands all by himself. Only a few more posts and we're going to be at the one year mark. I'm anxious about having to start work and leaving him again, but he's such a wonderful boy I know we'll both transition well. Here are the gorgeous pics of my sweet boy.
