Mother's Day

We celebrated Mother's Day for the first time today and it was amazing! Granted I woke up late for the photo sessions I was supposed to do at church, but other than that I had a great day with Tim and Mason. Mason gave me a sweet card and then the three of us went out to lunch and did a little shopping in Sarasota. Mason behaved well at lunch and tried to get his daddy's lunch. Hehe, it was such a fun day with my boys tat I didn't even mind coming home and having to finish doing laundry. I love being a mom and am thankful for days like today when people acknowledge you for being a mom, but if there was no Mother's Day it would be okay too because every day that my little one wakes up and smiles at me makes me feel like the greatest person in the world. I still can't believe God has blessed me with such a wonderful little miracle.

7 Months old

Before Mason turned six months I kept anticipating the day he would reach the 6 month mark. It's almost as if you can make it to 6 months you have reached a huge milestone in parenthood. Now that Mason is 7 months I'm sad. He's changing so much with each day, each minute even, that I don't want to blink or move or do anything other than savor each minute of the day I'm with him. I keep trying to take pictures, but that is even becoming near to impossible because Mason wants to move everywhere and I seem to have no time for pictures lately.
Mason is growing like a weed and he's getting so smart. I love sitting and watching him figure toys out, make connections, and try to communicate. He's still gaining weight like a champ, I had him weighted today and he's at 19 pounds 3 ounces. It makes for cute chubby cheeks, but really sore backs after holding him for too long. He loves to play with Mocha and lights up whenever she ventures near him. He still has only 2 teeth, but is working hard to cut another one. He drolls all over everything and sticks everything he can get in hands on in his mouth. He's not crawling yet, but he certainly can get around when he wants too. I can't believe he's already 7 months old!!!!

Smiles

We took these pictures Tuesday night, and while Mason didn't want to cooperate for a group photo with all his cousins, he did great if Mommy was taking pictures of just him. Imagine that wanting to be the center of attention, I wonder where he gets that from. He really is such a happy baby. I love his smile! I guess maybe that's why I love taking pictures of him, because he's always such a giggly happy kid. That smile of his can make my heart melt, no matter what's bothering me. God really does send miracles is such wonderful ways.

Cool dude

Cool dude. Mason is such a trip. His little personality is coming out quite a bit with each day. The weather has been so beautiful this week and tonight we were actually home enough to go for our walk. Mason had quite a trip with his new sunglasses. I must say for a six month old, he did spectacularly well keeping them on for more than 10 seconds. He really is one cool dude.
