October 14th was your baby dedication. It was a special day for us because we stood in front of our church family, our families and our friends and told them that we weould do everything in our power to raise you into a Godly man. Faith is important to us. You were created in love, planned by the Creator, and ordained for a purpose. Your life isn't just a cosmic action, it a divine creation. Every moment of your existence was prayed over, begged for and thought about. God blessed us with your presence and we wanted the people who matter the most to us to know that we honor your presence in our lives and will do our part as parents to raise you and train you as God guides us. I know we're going to make mistakes and screw things up from time to time, but our intentions are good and we love you so much.
We know as much as we love you as parents, God loves you even more. If there is anything we wish for you in this life it's that you would know God, love God, walk with God and honor God. Nothing else is this life matters more than that.
I want so much to live a life of faithfulness for you to witness. I want you to be proud of the example set before you. I sometimes feel like I'm doing such an inadequate job, but I know God will guide you to Himself. As much as you are our son, your His son first.
