The fifth month

During five months things got complicated as you started to get the onset of a possible cold. Or so I thought. You were starting to cough and sounded congested. Your cousins were rather sick with a terrible flu and bronchitis that had been going around and my allergies were causing me to feel icky as well so off to the doctor we went. You were fine, just a minor cold. With your Mr. Frog vaporizer the congestion went away and the cough subsided quickly thereafter. You weighed in at a strong 17 pounds and 8 ounces and 27 inches long. Even a little cold couldn't stop you from being active.

At this point we decided to invest in a video baby monitor because you were working awful hard on becoming mobile. You now flipped to your belly every time we laid you down to sleep and quickly proceeded to GI Joe it around your crib. The video monitor is awesome, because now I can see you stirring and know when you are just making noise or are really ready to wake up.

We have quite a good routine going on to our mornings. You love playing in your Jumper each morning and have a blast with the exersaucer. As far as food goes, you still love all foods and have moved into the world of fruits- apples, banannas, pears, mangos. You can eat the fruit from the mesh feeder and you love to hold it on your own and chomp on those fruits.

I swear you must be getting ready to cut a tooth because some days you will be perfectly happy and from one second to the next you look up and just start screaming. Thank God for Orajel for infants. My how you love to stand up. If you go straight into walking and skip crawling it wouldn't surprise me at all. We got you one of the exersaucers that you walk around a table instead of standing still. You just love being able to move. I'm tell you kid, you definitely are going to go places one day!

Each day is amazing to share with you. You love to giggle and it is such a joy to see.
