The fourth month

By four months old you were a beast. The nickname of "Chicken Wing" we had given you at birth was hardly the case anymore. Your legs were so strong and powerful when you kicked. I remember we went to the doctor for your appointment and you had just learned how to flip from your tummy to you back a week earlier. You weren't proficient all the time but you were getting rather consistent. I told the doctor I thought you would be flipping from your back to your belly soon and she told me you wouldn't do that till close to six months. Sure enough within a week you were flipping in both directions.

And oh my how you loved food! We started solid foods at four months and you loved green beans. Of course no matter what we put in your mouth the first spoonful you made an awful face about, but then you gobbled up jars of food. You loved green beans, tolerated peas, loved squash, carrots, and sweet potatoes. You were doing great at recognizing people and loved to hear Nana's voice on the phone.

I had gotten into a routine of going to work and leaving you. I loved weekends, and can't tell you how much I despised Mondays! You were getting so giggly at this age, it was wonderful. You weighed in at 16 pounds 1 ounce and 26 inches long. Growing seemed to be your specialty.
